The OS 1500 can withstand temperatures of up to 120°C (248°F). It also has excellent resistance to concentrated acids and oxidizing agents.
Once dry, OS 1500 has a smooth, non-absorbent surface. The installation of OS 1500 requires the application of a tile protection before grouting: CMC.
The CMC protective coating is used for all applications of antacid grouts based on non-emulsifiable or non-water-soluble resins, where it is imperative to protect the tile surface to avoid the formation of difficult or even impossible to remove stains. The Höganäs cellulose protective coating is a powder that can be diluted directly with water. After the laying and the drying of the protective layer, the cellulose forms a film on the surface of the tile,which prevent a direct contact / adhesion between the tile and the grout.
